Japanese Whisky

Chita

This single-grain whisky was made with diverse unblended whisky brewing techniques, and master craftsmanship developed over many years at the Chita Distillery in Aichi Prefecture. It features a light taste and a delicately sweet fragrance.
30ml ($25)

Yamazaki

Yamazaki Whisky is Suntory's flagship single malt whisky, from Japan's first and oldest malt distillery, a fresh and fruity whisky from Yamazaki, full of red fruit and a touch of sherry cask. It's also got some mizunara (Japanese oak) matured whisky in the mix, which comes through as a complex spicy and almost incense-like note. A well-put-together and deep aroma.
30ml ($37)

Yamazaki 12

30ml ($60)

Hibiki Harmony

This whisky encapsulates the harmony that exists between Japanese nature and people. This whisky is a symphony of at least 10 malt and grain whiskies, aged in five different types of casks, from Suntory's Yamazaki, Hakushu, and Chita distilleries. This delicate blend creates a oneness unfolding a full orchestra of flavours and aromas.
The smoky malt whiskies enact as subtle accents to create depth and further complexity.
30ml ($25)

Hibiki 17

30ml ($150)

Yoichi 12

The whisky has an earthy smokiness on the palate, which balances delicately with oak spice and nutty characters. Soft fruit and a distinct coastal note make this a robust savoury dram worth trying.

30ml ($150)

Shochu (Japanese Spirits)

Kurokirishima

This shochu is distilled from sweet potatoes from southern Kyushu, Japan, and Kirishima Rekka-sui, a crisp, clear subterranean water. This shochu is notable for its lush sweetness and crisp palate, which come from the use of black rice koji.
60ml ($12)

Tarusky premium Shochu

This premium shochu is chosen solely from the finest rice or sweet potato shochu, distilled in 2006. It has been allowed to mature over 11 years in oloroso sherry and has maintained its rice or sweet potato shochu character at the Ohishi Distillery warehouse. A refreshing, lightly spiced, well-balanced taste with gentle, soft vanilla and bitter orange notes.
